The operation of the wallbox was deliberately kept simple. The cable must be taken from the wallbox and plugged into the vehicle's charging port. As soon as this is done, the box automatically starts the charging process. The charging process ends automatically when the charging plug is unlocked on the vehicle side.

If charging is interrupted for any reason, the wallbox will automatically continue charging after the error has been corrected.

The current status of the box can be seen from the illuminated button (1) on the right side of the box:

• Standby = Led off
• Ready for operation = green
• Charging in progress = green flashing

The various fault conditions can also be read via the led (red or yellow) and diagnosed in more detail with the help of the manual.

Die Wallbox muss durch eine Elektrofachkraft in Betrieb genommen werden.

Für Errichter und Betreiber ergeben sich hierbei eine Reihe von zum Teil neuen rechtlichen sowie technischen Anforderungen, die es zwingend zu beachten gilt. In Anlehnung an den „Technischen Leitfaden Ladeinfrastruktur“ der Nationalen Plattform Elektromobilität, ist nun ein nach den momentan geltenden Gesetzen, Normen und Vorschriften erstellter Inbetriebnahmeprozess von Ladesäulen/ Wallboxen entstanden.

Wallboxen / Ladeeinheiten / Ladesäulen sind nur durch folgende Betriebe zu installiern:

• zertifizierte Elektrofirma
• Elektrofachkräften für Elektromobilität

Auf Basis der Norm DIN VDE 0100-722 ist der Einbau eines FI-Schutzschalters sowie eines DC-Fehlerschutz dabei für Wallboxen verpflichtend.

Der Einbau bzw. die Endabnahme von einem geprüften / zertifizierte Elektriker durchgeführt werden muss.

Folgende Punkte sind  vor / bei der Installation zu beachten:

• Festlegung Größe, Leistung usw. der Elektroanlage (Ladeeinrichtung) unter Berücksichtigung Netzanschlussbedingungen des Netzbetreibers (TAB 2007 sowie ergänzende techn. Anforderungen)
• Gewährleistung eines sicheren Betriebs nach EnWG
• Prüfung der Sicherheit anhand festgelegte Mindestanforderungen
• Betriebssicherheitsprüfung durch Elektrofachkraft (Inbetriebnahme)
